Together, we'll discover inspirational stories of creative entrepreneurs living out their dreams, doing the work they are most passionate about, and building wealth in magical and fun ways, while building a six-figure income. As a writer and coach, helping other women to launch their dream businesses, I've connected with so many incredible people and seen it proven again and again that you can thrive financially doing whatever it is you are passionate about. I am here to share life-changing strategies for mindset, making money and reaching more people with your work in a business and life filled with creativity, freedom and fun. Hi, sarah Mack, here from withsarahmackcom, and I'm very excited to be bringing you a series of podcasts focused on high ticket sales, one of my favorite things to talk about.

Speaker 1:

Little pre-ramble. Okay, first of all, let me tell you what you're going to learn in this episode because I know a lot of people have this question and I'm going to answer it for you today which is how to market your life coaching business to attract high ticket clients. So this is for all of you out there who either don't talk about money or business or don't directly support your clients with that, and who maybe support clients to create a very varied range of results in the work that you do, and so when people tell you to focus on the top result in your messaging, it leaves you feeling a little confused. So stay tuned to get some answers today. But first, yeah, let me just tell you what's been coming up for me around talking about high ticket sales. So I'm sure many of you will relate to this. Like when you're a heart centered entrepreneur, you just want to make a positive impact, you want to help everybody, like all of those classic things that we genuinely care about, and our money stuff, you know, is probably the number one thing that gets in the way of that. And these are very constant thoughts that I have in my business and, honestly, it's been a solid grasp of business marketing and sales strategy that has actually helped me to be more of service to my community Because, yeah, no one likes to be the person who talks about the thing that everybody hates to talk about, which is money, and I've been having so many of these conversations with people lately and I know a lot of people resist talking about it.

Speaker 1:

There's a lot of shame online around talking about money results. It's become this real hot button issue of like blaming and shaming people for talking about their big money wins and you know, and then getting caught in the comparison trap and feeling like, well, my money wins aren't big enough and I'm not good enough and no one would want to work with me because I'm not a squalienaire already, and all of these conversations that really hold us back. And I deeply believe in accessibility and you know I want to reach lots of people with my work. I understand because I've been there myself being in a money struggle and, yeah, I've learned a lot over growing my business over the past 10 years and talking about money and helping people with money. And I've had resistance around really honing on on high ticket sales and, honestly, it's something that happened naturally for me in the process of asking myself what is the highest contribution that I can make and what has genuinely changed and impacted my life in the most profound way that I. You know I then have the power to impact more people when I share what has worked for me. And something really cool happened I actually got an astrology reading from ChatGPT. I uploaded my chart and I was asking a ton of questions just to see what the experience was going to be like and ChatGPT was like yeah, you're all about high ticket sales and I was like, wait, what it was so interesting to feel, so seen by a robot. And they actually connected it to my Taurus North node, which is, you know, historically our most uncomfortable area of our chart because it's kind of our main heroes or heroines journey story arc in this lifetime. So it's something that we're evolving into, something that is new for us and obviously it's very uncomfortable, something that we're evolving into something that is new for us and obviously it's very uncomfortable because we're shifting out of something very different. So my South Node is in Scorpio.

Speaker 1:

So being super emotional, kind of volatile and like all freaking over the place like water, being the hippie backpacker living out of my suitcase for years, traveling to a bunch of different countries, not really having a, a home, like literally just going with the wind blowed me to really moving into that tourist, stable, luxury, like home, desire for a home, desire to be in one place, desire to have consistency, desire to be really stable, like that's kind of what I've moved into. I'm since moving to LA, I'm like I don't really want to travel, like obviously I love traveling, I love adventuring. Thankfully there's so many incredible adventures right on my doorstep here in California, but I'm kind of like, if there's any way I can not get on a plane, I will take it now, after being the person who was flying multiple times a year for years at a time. Take it now after being the person who was flying multiple times a year for years at a time. And Taurus is all about like luxury, and I've never really identified with being a luxurious person, even though I definitely have very high standards. But you know, I've also been the person who just is like running around with bare feet on the beach, camping in the woods. You know I'm not squeamish about using an outhouse for a few days at a time or eating dried food. So I've really been questioning what is my definition of luxury and trying to get clarity on what that definition is for myself. And yeah, I'm working on it and I'm bringing these conversations more into my brand.

Speaker 1:

But for me, on it, and I'm bringing these conversations more into my brand, but for me, I really think it's like, obviously, as a Virgo rising it's health and as someone who has gone long periods without having good health, there's nothing I value more than that and being able to cook, you know, delicious, sustainably sourced, organic, like lovely meals. And being able to have time to rest. Being able to have time to do all the things that make me happy, like seeing friends, spending time with my partner, reading, writing, learning, creating, being in a community, being able to contribute, being able to have conversations with people who share my values like that's luxury to me. And having a business that allows me to have all of those things consistently and easily and with flexibility through you know all the different phases of life like that is my version of luxury. So I'd love to hear what your thoughts are on this theme. But let's dive in. So, side note, if you are curious, on learning more about the aspect of your chart that can tell you where people most like to pay you, which is your Venus placement, stay tuned on my email here, on the podcast and on my social media for more information on my upcoming Venus attraction workshop, which is going to be all on supercharging your money message and client magnetism using your Venus placement. I'm so, so excited for this. It's going to be epic. Supercharging your money, message and client magnetism using your Venus placement. I'm so, so excited for this. It's going to be epic, so let's dive in.

Speaker 1:

This episode was actually inspired by Amy, who wrote to me after I recently did a shout out on my email list for any questions that you have. So I'm really here for your questions If you want to DM me, if you want to email me. This, you know, is a great way for me to create content that's super valuable for you, gives me tons of is too much. And she helps her to stop looking outside of herself for answers, to stop holding back due to fear, to go within, cultivate self-love and find the inner guidance she needs to move forward towards her big life. She's selling a three-month one-on-one telegram membership at $3,000.

Speaker 1:

And she wants to know if you're a life coach as opposed to a business coach or a weight loss coach, and the outcome of your offer depends on the goal your client brings to the work.

Speaker 1:

How do you keep your content focused on the outcome and the example she gave? She might help one client write her manuscript for her book, while she might help another improve her communication with her husband. So she wants to know and I know a lot of people have this question how does she talk about the intangible outcomes in her content, especially when the outcome is so varied from client to client. So this is a really, really great question and, just for some context, you can sell anything right, like the point of marketing is to help you do the work that you deeply desire to do in the world. And, side note, something that we're going to go into is the process of getting good at marketing, and selling is going to take you to whole new levels of growth in your expertise, like it is a process of spiritual transformation. So it's something that's going to change and mold and sculpt the work that you do and it's going to challenge your creativity at higher and higher levels. But your desire is always the most important thing.

Speaker 1:

So there's so many things I have to say about this, but here's just some other examples for those of you out there who were like, have that story in your head that if you don't promise money results, if you don't have a very specific, clear outcome or your clients create different results, that you can't make enough as much money. This is not true. I recently helped a relationship coach have a six figure launch of her mastermind. I helped a therapist grow her business to six figures. I actually got to my first six-figure year in my coaching business, selling money mindset coaching and I wasn't selling business, I wasn't selling messaging, I was actually helping creatives with money mindset. And those were my first high ticket offers and that's what got me to my first six figure year. And before I started my coaching business, I wrote for more than 1000 different types of digital entrepreneurs and, honestly, that was just the most amazing framework to come into entrepreneurship with, because I saw every single freaking kind of business you could possibly imagine and that really showed to me like oh wow, like if you can put up a website and learn to clearly communicate the work that you're passionate about sharing, you can create a business around absolutely anything.

Speaker 1:

So the key is to find the common desires of your client, and the key to this, like the most simple way to access this, is to find it in your story and experience. And hear me out, I'm not saying like you only get to teach people to do things that you have done, because that's not true. However, I do want to challenge the thought that you can help a lot of different people, because you can't actually help everyone and, especially when we're talking about high ticket, we're talking about what is your absolute highest contribution. What is your highest, highest, highest level of expertise and experience that actually is the most valuable and impactful to a certain type of client? So how? I would support you on this. I would ask you what are the results and breakthroughs that you are actually most grateful for in your own life and when it comes to life coaching? It's really helpful to split these results into internal results and external results. It might be some of the internal results might be I started trusting myself more. I started loving myself more. Okay, cool. So let's tell some specific stories about what in your external life has actually changed, because this is the way that we root these terms into specifics that people are actually going to be able to identify with, because they're very broad. Right, and trusting myself and loving myself is going to look so different from person to person. So the more you can anchor that into stories of your own life, the clearer a picture your potential clients are going to have of who you are and what you've created and what you can help them with. So here's an example of how you could tell this story.

Speaker 1:

I used to tell myself you know things like you'll never get this book written, and then that would cause me to not show up to my scheduled writing time, and I used my coaching process to identify the thought patterns that were causing resistance. I shifted my internal narrative and, instead of judging myself, I focused on the story, that I am capable of my desires. I am a good writer, I do follow through. And then I asked myself what additional support? I am a good writer, I do follow through. And then I asked myself what additional support do I need to make it easier to accomplish my goals? So I hired a coach. I did some emotional freedom tapping. I developed a morning creative ritual. Right, you get the picture.

Speaker 1:

What did you actually do to cultivate more self-love? What did that look like specifically for you? Because that's going to give a lot of information about your approach and your belief system and your value system, even if you might recommend something different for your client, it's going to give them a lot of information for them to connect to you and it's going to tell them what you've done. Because, remember this, people are going to hire you for what you truly have the most embodied wisdom around. And another coach might say something like I cultivated self-love by doing 5,000 push-ups in the morning and I got super strong in my body, which gave me the mental courage to follow through on my book right the way that you got there. That is your unique embodied wisdom that will resonate with the clients who want to get to their goal in a similar way. Then you use your specific wins and results to illustrate a possible result. Then you make it really clear what specific tools, skills and modalities your client will be using to empower herself to get what she wants. And, again, like the details are actually what make a message more universal, because maybe you're not like an emotional freedom tapping practitioner, but that was a skill that really helped you.

Speaker 1:

The way that you can tell this story is describing your process, describing the outcomes and then using the specifics to illustrate an example, to paint the picture. And obviously, why we want to root it in your real lived experience and embodied wisdom is because naturally that's going to attract people who want to do it in the way that you've done it and these are naturally going to be benefit clients for you and you can say things like I'll guide you to find the modalities that resonate most with you. So another thing that you can do is to use other client case studies to illustrate the path of transformation that's possible with your work. But let's talk about high ticket, because you can technically help a lot of people, yes, but the people you can most deeply serve are the ones who want what you have. People hire you because of who you are and what you've accomplished.

Speaker 1:

So if I was going to get you in one of my Cosmic Brand Story private intensives, I would ask you about all of your accomplishments that are most meaningful for you, what it really took for you to get there, and then fine-tune your offer so it clearly leads with the most valuable transformation you have embodied, and then pull out the parts of your story that show how much of a badass you are. And that's how you attract the people that you will truly serve the most deeply and who will happily pay you high ticket prices because you're leading with the best of the best of you. And I would also look at your chart and see your destiny, your gifts, your wisdom, challenges, client compatibility and money placements and get a clearer picture for where you're headed with your work and set your offer message and brand storytelling up to attract more of the right people into your world that are the perfect fit, because we have these threads in our story and our wisdom and our experience that our astrology chart can really highlight. And you know, there's so many different ways that we can express our gifts. There's so much freedom that we have, even within these more narrow topics, that we kind of hone in on building our offers around and focusing our branding and our messaging around, because our marketing and our message is like the tip of the iceberg, right?

Speaker 1:

So you're only talking about those highest value aspects of the transformation, because that's really what people are thinking about and leading with when they make a decision to buy a high ticket offer. Right? People aren't just like, oh, this, this is, this would be nice, this would be fun to drop several $1,000 on working with a mentor. Like, no high ticket is about high value transformation. So it's really important that you lead with the cream of your experience, that like thick, nutritious layer that has truly added the most value to your life, and that you really sell that with confidence. And then, once people get into your containers, that's when you get to dive into the 90% of the iceberg with them and you can go off topic. You know you can help them with their like relationship. You can help them when they're going through health stuff. You can have all the conversations, but make sure you're leading very clearly in your marketing with the highest value aspects of the transformation. So that's the difference between offering any and all solutions and really honing in on your genius, and that is what's required for successfully and easefully selling high ticket offers. So, to be clear you can help people work towards diverse goals, but the way that they get there will be centered around your unique strengths and skillset.

Speaker 1:

So, speaking to the internal process and the examples of what that actually might look like in your life is not only how you illustrate clearly the power of your work, but also how you attract aligned clients who want what you have, even if it's a slightly different variation and not the exact same goals and desires that you have. So sharing more specifics of what it actually looks like inside one of your coaching calls or programs will give people the information they need to know if they want that or not and to really see like oh, I can tell how this is going to help me in my situation. So here's an example of how you could talk about your process by learning to identify the thoughts that were creating feelings of resistance and causing me to procrastinate every time I scheduled some writing time in my calendar. I was able to shift my focus to a more supportive inner dialogue, which helped me tap into the inspiration to start a writing group that made me so excited to commit to weekly writing that I finished my book.

Speaker 1:

So in an anecdote like this, you're not selling finish your book, like that's not the result that you're promising. You're selling the process of moving through resistance to get what you want. So, number one, you're probably going to like I know you've written a book and like that's a huge, freaking accomplishment, right, and we know there's a lot of people who have that goal. That's like their number one goal. That is something that people definitely pay to get support with and it's okay. You don't. I'm not saying you need to become a person who helps only people who want to write books, but you're probably going to attract a lot of people who want to write books, right, like this is the nature of selling with authentic storytelling. However, there are going to be other creative women who are going to see you tell your story about finishing your book and be like that yeah, that's exactly what I need for my movie, or that's exactly what I need for my fashion design business, or that's exactly what I need for whatever creative project they're working on.

Speaker 1:

You're selling the process of moving through resistance to get what you want, like writing a book, like completing that big creative project that's been on your to-do list for five years, right, that thing that you'd be so proud of when you finally get to hit, publish and share it with the world, whatever you know. Examples help to illustrate the varied outcomes of this type of a process. So what are some of the tools and processes that you would use in helping your client to have better communication with her husband? That's another thing that you could go into detail to show people how your skills and tools and processes help. Another type of problem If you still want to include you know these types of results in the way that you're helping people, like what do they want to see in their life? You can include all the varied examples. You can include succeed in your career, have healthy, happy relationship.

Speaker 1:

You can get more micro with what you have actually accomplished, like what are the biggest successes in your life and in your career? Was it launching your dream business? Completing your book, getting consistent on social media, learning to focus consistently as someone with ADHD, building a morning routine right, like whatever it is. That's been truly impactful and and this is where your astrology chart helps Cause we're like what are those themes that just light you up to talk about? Because there's a reason and obviously you can get there without looking at your chart. You just get to ask yourself, like, what do I love talking about? What can I not shut up about? What has been so life-changing for me that I know would be extremely valuable to share with more people? What am I truly passionate about sharing with the world? And you can create more, dialed in offerings that really go deep and helping someone transform something that you have created an epic transformation in.

Speaker 1:

So getting micro in your offerings, even in your freebies and your masterclasses or your lower ticket offers, can help to establish your brand and your expertise for the things that are really valuable about your work and that you really can help people with. So I know that you wrote a book so you could niche in on that result of overcoming creative resistance and procrastination and completing your creative work. Like that is a really great, valuable result that you have embodied. And you could still help her with conversations about her husband, her health, whatever behind the scenes. But you don't necessarily have to lead with that in your marketing. That is one approach you really want to like think about all of the major desires that they are journaling about and pick the ones that you have the most embodied wisdom and expertise around and position your offer around that.

Speaker 1:

And that's the uncomfortable work, because and this happens to you, it happened to me, it happens to all of my clients when it's like really time to take a stand for who you are and your results and what you've accomplished, it's going to bring up all those voices of like, yeah, but I'm not, I can't. I can't say publish a book because my book wasn't even published by a publisher, or I didn't even think it was that good, or blah, blah, blah. Right, all of the excuses and the ways that we judge ourselves and that we think that we're not good enough. They're all going to bubble up around why you're not good enough to take a stand for that, why this result isn't good enough for you to lead with. But that's the work when you really lean into and take a stand for who you are, what you've created, the most valuable results and changes that you've created in your own life. That's when high ticket sales becomes a shit load easier, and I'm really curious to look at your chart.

Speaker 1:

This is the one downside for taking questions from people on my podcast is I don't have your chart in front of me, because it can tell us so much, but I really hope that this is helpful. Please write to me and tell me if this is helpful, if you have any more follow-up questions for any of you listening I know this is a big topic. Maybe I will, you know, create something around this to help you to implement some of these concepts more specifically, but I have loved answering this question. I have loved making this podcast for you today and I have some more exciting news. I am gonna run a competition to win a one-on-one coaching session with me, and, yes, I will look at your astrology chart and how you are gonna be able.

Speaker 1:

A competition to win a one-on-one coaching session with me and, yes, I will look at your astrology chart and how you are going to be able to enter. To win is to go to iTunes, write a five-star review screen, grab it and email it to. Fun at with Sarah maccom and I will enter you to win a one-on-one coaching session, which I will do this periodically, and I want to make this available to you to enter in an unlimited number of ways, because the reviews really help me to grow the podcast and reach more people with this content. So if you already wrote a review, you can enter with that. If you want to enter again and continue to enter, go and tell a friend to leave a review, get them to send the screenshot to you. You can both send me that screenshot and I'll enter you both into the competition so you can do this with as many friends, as many different accounts, as many times as you like, and it would be my absolute honor to support you in a one-on-one coaching call for free if you win the contest.

Speaker 1:

So I will probably do this once a month, depending on how many entries I get. If I only get one, well, if I only get one, then I guess that person will win. So stay tuned and enter away, please. If you know anyone else who would love this content and benefit from it, please share this episode with them and I appreciate you for being here, sending you so much love, easeful money making vibes, and stay tuned for my next episodes on high ticket sales.
